Six Flags adventures and parenting advice.

This week has been a blur. Ryan took Trevor to Six Flags again last Saturday to have a special Daddy Trevor day. They had a blast. We are trying to have a special day with just one kid once a month so that they can have that alone time with just Mom and Dad. We had free tickets to Six flags so our little dates wont always be that extravagant. Just a walk or going out for ice cream will do for now ! While they were gone I took Josh and Gavin to the mall and got them new clothes. The definitely got the short end of the stick but Josh loves to ride on those dumb rides at the mall that just shake you to death. And Josh and Gavin are such good shoppers. I think they had a good time as well.

Here is a video of Ryan and Trevor.

The lesson Ryan learned here is when you tell your child to stand and watch something knowing he's going to get wet. Karma is always on the kids side :)

My boys are so active there are some days where I just want to pull the covers over my head and not get out of bed I know many Mom's feel this way at times. So when my sister in law sent me this cute e-mail . I had to post it. I think anyone with active boys can relate to this.

Most of America's populace think it improper to spank children, so I have tried other methods to control my kids when they have one of 'those moments.' One that I found effective is for me to just take the child for a car ride and talk. They usually calm down and stop misbehaving after our car ride together. I've included a photo below of one of my sessions with my son, in case you would like to use the technique.

Thanks Keri this really made me laugh.
