The Sunday before Joshua's birthday I reminded him that they would probably sing to him in primary for his birthday day. We were all ready and loaded in the car waiting on Josh. Finally he came and strongly smelled of colone, with some gel in his hair, and freshly brushed teeth. When I asked him what he was doing he said. "I need to look and smell my best for primary today, don't I look so handsome this way?"
Opening presents. He got what he calls the booger man.Jabba the hut!!
My best attempt to make a cake that looked like a Lego.
Gavin loves birthday cake and ice cream. He was so happy and content just sitting and eating his cake while everyone was crazy trying to see what was in the presents.
I had one very excited little boy on June 20th. Bouncing off the walls!!! He has been waiting forever to turn 6. He's one of the youngest in his grade so all of his friends were already 6 and it just killed Josh that he was still 5. I got woken up bright and early Sat. morning with Josh saying "Mom I'm finally 6." I asked him what it felt like to be 6 and he said "taller".
Josh is such a sweet boy. He's so loving and happy all the time. He's so great with Gavin and so eager to be with Trevor any time he can. He's the child that will come cuddle with us when he wakes up, and is always the 1st one to offer to say a prayer at dinner time. He's very observant and doesn't hold anything back. He tells it how he sees it. Which is good and bad at the same time. He's made me blush more than anyone else ever has.
He's usually so well behaved that when he does act up it really throws me off because it's so rare. He's such a delight to raise and I feel so blessed to be his Mom.
All Josh wanted to do was go swimming at Rockin river. It's this fun pool with a few water slides. There is no way we could of managed a bunch of 6 year olds at this pool so I let him invite one friend and he could have a special time with just that friend and his Dad. It was perfect as he had such a great time and he and Cole really play well together.
When he came home we had pizza, cake and ice cream. Then he and Cole had a star wars Lego battle.
The last two weeks of we were working on a death star pinata to break at the party I love making things with my boys in the summer. And we were on the last step I put it on the island to dry and somehow it fell off and splatted all over the floor. I felt so bad. Leave it to Josh to say. "that's ok Mom we can just put all the treats in a party bag we don't need a pinata." I love you Joshua and hope you had an amazing birthday!!!
