The Birds and the Bees!!

Ok so I've debated on if I should post this or not. But it is the way my life goes always some craziness so I thought why not. To set the picture Trevor's school is HUGE and all the kids get out at the same time so you can only imagine the insane amount of kids all dashing out the school doors at once not to mention the millions of parents waiting for their kids. So here I was waiting for Trevor when he comes running out of school in Tears. When he gets to me he said all to loudly "Mom what does the word SEX mean and why do grown ups get so mad when you say it?" All the parents turned and looked at me. I got the look of GOOD LUCK WITH THAT ONE. GLAD IT'S NOT ME!!!
Apparently there was a book in the library that a bunch of the 2ND graders got. It was titled how to teach your kids about sex. And the kids were all laughing and telling each other what this was. It was interesting hearing from Trevor what the other kids thought this was. Trevor was completley clueless which it should be at age 7.
I had to laugh as we were walking home Trevor asked if he needed me to have him check out that book so I could learn what it was. I could see the conversation with him and the school librarian who happens to be our neighbor. "My Mom needs this book because she doesn't know what Sex means" Yep that totally sounds like something Trevor would say.
Ryan and I were planning on having "THE TALK" with Trevor when he was 8 because we wanted to tell him before his friends mentioned things. I never thought he would hear about this so early on. It's so crazy. Needless to say we've had several great discussions and they all went quite nicely I would have to say. Even Josh got involved (which was hilarious but I'll save that story for another time maybe.) I hate how kids have to grow up so fast I wish they could stay little forever. I've always felt blessed that Trevor will come to us and tell us EVERYTHING!!! He loves to tattle on himself. But I'll have to admit I was proud I heard all of this from him, all the other parents got a letter sent home. I know this wont last forever but I hope he will always stay comfortable to come to us with ANYTHING!!! Heaven knows that with this kids curiosity he's going to need a huge conscious and allot of support. We sure do love him.

This is so funny. Seriously, you can't beat that story. You should have a reality tv show.
