A night out.

Saturday was Ryan's holiday work party. Yes they have it after the holidays because they get a better turn out that way. It was at an amazing Restaurant Perrys Steak house down town Austin. It was fun to get dressed up and meet some of the interesting people that he works with. Things have been tense at his job lately with all the rumors that Microsoft was having a big lay offs. Luckily so far we are saved from any lay offs. Hopefully we will be safe for a very long time. :)
So this was a very nice night out. I'm always amazed at how much people drink. And it's always interesting that we are usually the only ones who don't. But people are always so respectful. It was so good to get out it's been a while and the kids had fun with the baby sitter.
I had told the babysitter that I want the kids in bed by 8:00 they were up early and all very tired. Trevor being the cleaver kid that he is told her that we haven't had the chance to change our clocks from daylight savings time and they were all 1 hr. behind. She said he was so convincing so she just looked on her cell phone for the real time. He's such a funny kid and always talking the babysitters into letting him do something he knows he's not supposed to do. I'm so grateful to have found such a fun babysitter for the boys, who wasn't out smarted this time. It makes going out a little easier for me. And I so much appreciate the time I get to be with my Wonderful husband.

So glad you had fun. I forget what a shock it was to see people drinking. Now it is part of everyday life. As an event planner, half my time is spent estimating how much wine to order (4 glasses per bottle, 400 people, ect.) what type to serve with what entree...

So glad you found someone you trust. In NY, babysitters are more in demand than diamonds!

Thanks for the heads up. I am glad to hear that the info I have found really is true. Yeah it sucks. I swear when I was little appliances never went out. Now you are lukcy to get 5+ years.

Sounds like a fun night out with your hubby. Those times can be few and far between in the busy stages of our lives.
