Mothers

Trevor gave me a book of poems he wrote in school for Mothers day. He has never been a child that expresses his emotions very well so this was something that I'll always treasure. I wanted to share two of my favorite.

Mom

It was really hard for me to become a Mom. With infertility issue's and really hard pregnancy's I never thought I would get my chance. I'll never forget the day I found out I was going to have a baby and then a week later being told I was having a miscarriage. With a medical miracle, my amazing husbands faith and the power of priesthood I became a Mom in July of 2000. My sweet little baby brought me happiness, fear, love, compassion, and strength unlike any I had ever known. I have learned so much from being a Mom. I've learned that it's really really hard to be a parent. I now live my life for these 3 boys, and sometimes it's overwhelming. I never thought I would be a chef, maid, taxi, body guard, cheerleader, entertainer, tutor, teacher and example all at the same time. But I wouldn't trade this job for anything in the world.
With all the frustration, fear and exhaustion comes the most pure joy, happiness and love I've ever experienced. Nothing is better then hearing your child tell you that they love you, or seeing their face light up when they do something to make you proud. I love my kids with all my heart and feel so blessed to be a Mom. I have a greater appreciation for my Mom. You never know all the hard work that goes into being a parent until you become one yourself.
So to my Mom. Thanks for all that you do!!! I appreciate it more then you'll ever know. And to my kids. Thanks for loving me through all my mistakes. I adore each of you and feel so blessed to be your Mom.

I love all your mother stuff! thats so cute! apparently you worry too much about cleaning! How do you get your husband to want to buy you gifts still? B hasn't gotten me anything for a holiday for like 2 years. when Quade was a baby he got me a flower pot and a water can for mother's Day, and 2 years ago for christmas he got me Celine Dion 2nd row ticket, she canceled her show, and he had the option to get a refund, so he DID! I dont want to ask him to, I want him to want to! Im not complaining, I just dont think he sees the importance. :o(
