Science fair 2011

Oh man the science fair is more like a parents nightmare.  Trevor got it in his head that he wanted to plant plants and then feed them different liquid to see what the effects are.  They sprouted really good and we were super excited that our plants may just work out.  Only problem is they all DIED!!!  It's been really cold here lately and sadly not one plant even the one we babied with water made it.  And now we had 1 week to come up with a new project.  Here is the problem we already had all the paper work the outline etc. for the old one that we had to get approval from the teacher for the new one.  I racked my brain and searched so many ideas that could be quick and easy for Trevor to do but none seemed to spike his interest and the ones that did would cause our house to suffer a great destructive mess.  So we finally found this popcorn one.  It worked out Great because Ryan's Mom always had told me that if you store popcorn in the fridge it pops better.  So Trevor wanted to challenge Grandma.  That is so my Trevor always challenging people and having to find the answers himself.  "I always pray he will use this for good because  Trevor is brilliant" (more about that later)  Anyways this one was actually fun.  The only problem is it was a crazy week where we had some event every night and then I had to be gone all day Saturday. So I scrambled with him a hr here and there and stayed up way to late but we have a finished product.  Hopefully he gets a good grade.  I guess you can't read the conclusion to well from this picture so in case anyone is dieing to know. YES GRANDMA IS RIGHT :).  Next up the pinewood derby.  Weigh in is on Wednesday and Ryan's out of town so it will be very interesting to see if this little block of wood does in fact turn into a car.
