End of 3rd and 6th grade

I'm sitting here bummed as I realize how much my little family is growing up. Trevor this year really wanted to hang out with friends instead of having a little family party. While I understand completely and let him, I'm just a little sad he's at that stage in life.
Ryan had promised Josh since he couldn't come to his little end of the year party or his field trip this year that he would take him to the Movie so off he and Josh went on the last day of school. Which left just Gavin and I at home. We made some pretzels and Italian soda's, played plants vs zombies on the x-box (he loves that game way to much) then we gave Sadie a bath. I'm so glad he's still little and loves being with me. This last week was INSANE. It's starting to get hot and we had so many activities.

Everyday Josh had something at school.  I forgot to take a picture of most but I hurried and took a picture of him on his way to school  on Wacky Wednesday with his blue spiked hair.

It was my last week just Gavin and I.  Next year he will be in school with the boys so we wont get our alone time.  I tried to do many of his favorite things.  We played lots of games, went to target and kaleidoscope toys to get Josh's birthday present and some fun pool stuff. Then I took him to his favorite sprinkler park.  He could play here all day.  I ended up with a NICE sun burn.  Why is it I always remember to put the sunscreen on the boys but forget all about me.  I'm still hurting.
Trevor insisted on having a mo-hawk the last day of school and to wear these glasses.  He's so funny.  I had to use a entire bottle of gel to keep the thing up.  Sad part is him and his friends all said they were going to do this and well when he got there he was the only one.  Their parents would let them or it didn't work.  He rolled with it pretty nice I thought.  I would of been mad.  But not Trevor he just said oh well mine is EPIC who cares they couldn't.  Such a good sport.
The remaining kids after the HOT HOT HOT end of the year party outside.   Luckily we have had a pretty mild May because it was hot enough in the high 80's I was so glad we were not in the 100's yet.

I told Josh we would celebrate by going out to lunch on the last day of school.  He wanted to go to IHOP (why do my kids like that place so much.)  but when we got there it was so crowded so I talked him into Freddy's frozen custard.  He and Gavin are such good friends I just love how well they play with each other.   Josh is very protective of him which will be a huge comfort when he goes to Kindergarten next year.
