Science, 100 days and whole lot more.

I can barley catch up.  I always felt like when my kids got older I wouldn't be so BUSY.  I was a fool to think that.  I miss the days when all I had to do was chase a toddler around.  While it kept me on my toes at least when they took a rest I got to sit down for a few mins.  :)..

January came and went with a blink of the eye.
Just a few highlights of the month to remember it by.

We got Sadie fixed.  Not a highlight by any means but something that was necessary.  All the dogs  around us are HUGE poor little thing if she would of tried to mate with any of them it would of killed her. Let me tell you this little puppy grew up fast and well um I didn't know girl dogs had a period.  My poor Josh discovered her bleeding and insisted I call 911 or rush her to the emergency room.  After I "googled" what was going on with my dog we had to have the good old Birds and bee's talk.  Not my favorite by any means.  I'm glad my kids are not shy like their momma and are not afraid to ask LOST of questions.  So after our question and answer session my sweet boys said. "Mom what does that have anything to do with Birds or Bees"?  Such a funny boy.  Josh stuck by Sadie's side catering to here every whim for the 6 LONG days she had to wear her cone of shame.  It was the smallest saddest cone of shame ever.
My Brother Shon and his wife Cindy came to visit us.  It was such a beautiful day and we had such a great time with them.  But I didn't take one picture not one.  Well except Ryan took these two.  We took them to the capitol and had no idea there was a huge guns rights rally going on that day.  They loved it.  So did Ryan.  Me not so much. I hate anything confrontational especially when my kids are around.
The protest.  These were the people for the gun rights.

My brother was busy fixing us up the whole time.  He's beyond sweet to adjust all of us while he was here.  It's so nice to have a Chiropractor in the family.  And a really good one at that.  I wish they could of stayed longer. 2 days just isn't enough time with family.

Trevor's been begging us to get him a weight system so he can bulk up.  He's such a skinny little stick.  Ryan's been wanting to get in better shape as well so he got himself a project.  This bugger took days to put together.  (still not fully finished.) But Trevor and Josh sat up stairs working together for hr's on this thing.   That was so nice to see.  I love love love it when my kids get along and work together to accomplish things.  I'll post a picture when it's all done.

Ryan's not one to only have one project started.  Our t.v. upstairs had a line in it.  While I didn't care it BUGS my tech geek and so he decided to give it a try and fix it on his own.  Yes this two sat on the floor like this for DAYS and once he got it all put back together (two parts ordered) the dumb thing still had a line in it.  Hate that.
And my Josh had to do his Science fair project.  This year Ryan took the reigns on helping.  They decided to make rock candy.  Josh is so hands on and loves to cook and bake and loves science so he did such a great job with this project.

This sat on the counter for weeks.  And Josh charted the progress of each one every day.

Then we built the story board.  (well I should say Mom built the story board)  This part Josh wasn't so hands on with.  He did type up the paragraphs.  Isn't that they way it always is.  I'm so not a fan of the science fair story board project.

But all his and (my) hard work paid off he got 2nd place in the fair.  YEA Josh.  He was so happy.

The kids celebrate the 100th day of school.  the kindergartners had to make a shirt with 100 things on it and then they had a parade that morning.  Gavin picked heart stickers.  Only the little buggers didn't really stick to well to the shirt.  So I glued 100 stickers to a shirt.  And stuck a book on it to get them to stay.  Only the glue seeped through and the morning of the parade I was cutting his shirt open to put it on him.  :).  He kept saying this feels funny.  Poor little guy.  I got to stay and help with his 100 day party, I love being with my kids in school. He he had such a great day.

He has the sweetest best class ever.   With only the best Kindergarten teacher ever.  We love Mrs. Estes so much.

Gavin lost his 1st tooth.  I didn't even know it was loose.  Both Trevor and Josh didn't lose a tooth until they were in 1st grade so I was shocked.  So was he.  We were all cheering for him because he just tried Pesto.  (huge accomplishment this is the pickiest kid ever.). and he took a bite of his orange and then said. "what in the world something creepy just happened."  Then we all saw his tooth in his hand and Josh told him his tooth fell out.  Then he started to cry. and say "what I'm never eating a orange again."  So we had to remind him it's just his baby teeth and new teeth will grow back.  Then he got excited.  Josh told him he was so brave that the tooth fairy will leave him $5.00.  Unfortunately for him the tooth fairy was short on cash and only left him $2.00.  But he was still thrilled when he woke up to find the money under his pillow.  :)..

Josh is having  a party at school and they are playing guess the baby.  So we have been going though his baby pictures and I found this one.  It's one of my favorites of him and his Grandpa.  Josh had the best face expressions.  My boys are growing up way to fast.
