Yesterday my sweet Visiting teachers took me out for Breakfast for my Birthday. It was nice to go with only Gavin along even though he threw everything off the table and made a HUGE mess in the restaurant. The gesture was so nice and I was grateful to get to go out. Then I sat home all day watch a friends kids and waited for the GE guy to come and fix our dishwasher. It's nice to know that appliances only 5 months old break. UGH!!!! We learned that top of the line is short for expensive piece of Junk. Good thing it's warrantied.
Today my actual birthday has been crazy. We had our ward Christmas breakfast. Ryan's gift to me was that he would go and help out seeing how we are both on the committee. He was there from 7:00 until 12:00. Poor guy.
While he was gone I had the boys decorate a Gingerbread house.
Every year Grandma Jenkins would help the kids make one, and they wanted to do one this year. The boys kept telling me "That's not the way Grandma does it". And Trevor gave up 1/2 way through it so Josh and I finished. It lasted about 30 Min's until well here is a picture of the finished product. I never claimed to be Martha Stewart. I'm horrible at Crafts!!!
Tonight my sweet friend is coming over to watch the boys after we put them in bed so we can go out to eat. We still haven't found a sitter and I'm so paranoid about leaving the baby. So we'll just do a late dinner which will be nice just to get away for a while.
After it Crashed Tevor the smarty pants said "I told ya Mom that's not the way Grandma does it"
OK again not the best picture of me but I love it of Gavin so I posted it anyways.

I love your hair. Sounds like your gingerbread house has my sort of history. This is the first year I bought the cookie cutters--what a difference. Before I had lop-sided houses.
You look so cute!!!
OH BTW HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
HI! We will be in Lanai from the 28-5 and Kauai from 5-7.
Where will you be?
Oh Heather the sad part is this is not a homemade Gingerbread house it's one that we got in a pre-made kit. I tell ya I'm horriable at crafts that I can't even get a pre-made one to work!!!!
SO EXCITING! I can't believe we will reconnect in Hawaii--my email is heathermay66@hotmail.com
How exciting for you and Heather to meet up in Hawaii, man I wish I could come. I like your hair Suzette! You look good girl! Hope you had a happy birthday!
Happy belated birthday! Hope your dinner out was good. Miss you!
okay suzette- that looks just like ours!! So glad I'm not alone! ;-)We bought those dumb things and the gingerbread is so darn heavy that ours kept falling apart! Neal even said- "here let me caulk it for you" with frosting but it still crashed. Finally we stuck it in the fridge to hold together and that seemed to do the trick. Next year it's back to good old graham crackers!! ;-)
