Why we moved from Seattle.

Duvalls main road to go in and out of the town completely under water



December 14th 2006 windstorm.

Last year was a really hard winter for us in Seattle. We were flooded out numerous times, had a few horrible snow storms where we couldn't leave our house and then we had a bad windstorm that knocked out our power for 8 days. Several people had to leave because it was so cold. We were blessed with a generator and were able to share our warmth with others. But the gloom and doom of day after day of dark and wet was enough to say it's time to move. Here is today's weather forecast where we used to live.



This is the same road as in the previous pictures that was under water. It happens at least two or three times every year.
