A bountiful blessing

Gavin all dressed up in his rain gear. And Josh is right behind him getting ready to dance in the rain.

Our backyard. It's starting to flood.

Ryan's car starting to get covered in water.

So we have been in a huge drought. All the lakes are low and we are on water restrictions. Our stake president asked everyone to fast and pray for rain. Wow did we ever get what we prayed for. It's been raining off and on for the last few weeks and Sunday it was a huge downpour. The bad news is we just started on our new out door kitchen (I'm so excited for) and it's a huge mess. And now has to be delayed another week. Not to mention our lovely builders didn't unclog the street drains so our house was in grave danger of being flooded fast. Ryan looked out and saw his car under water and decided he should move it, then we noticed we no longer had a sidewalk and the water was rising FAST. Luckily a nice neighbor came by the help him pull off the sand bags and clear out the drains. It's crazy how fast the water rises. But the boys LOVED the adventure and now we are all good (HOPEFULLY). What a amazing testimony builder these storms have been. And nothings better then a Texas sized thunder storm. WE LOVE THEM. (well when they are not late at night and keep us all up.) But the beauty is unbeatable!!!
