We've had quite the week. Tuesday Trevor got his cast off. His arm is still broken as he snapped the funny bone in 1/2 but the two sides of the bone have sealed together so he's now just doing therapy to heal the rest. He still can't move it or do activities for 6 weeks but at least that HUGE cast if off and he's can start the true healing process. He was so glad to get it off and itch his arm. It was driving him nuts. And he was so excited to get back to school to show his friends. Unfortunatly Thursday Trevor came home from school with a slight fever and sore throat. Knowing that a few kids in his class were diagnosed with Swine flu I took him in to the Dr. And sure enough he got it. Poor kid can't seem to get a break. He's been pretty miserable as I've had to confine him to the media room away from everyone else. But I hooked him up with alot of movies, x-box games and eating with the t.v tray. (he loved that.) But it's still hard keeping him down.
And Lysol has become my best friend as I spray down anything he touches. Saturday night was the worst. He couldn't breath. He was so afraid he was going to die. It was one of the worst experiences I've had. Holding my son reassuring him that he wasn't going to die. That millions of people had swine flu and recovered just fine from it. The darn media hype on this and fear from everyone talking about it. I don't think we don't realize the affect it has on our kids. My heart just ached for him. I can't stand to see my kids in any kind of pain. It's amazing how much I love this little boys. And how being a parent is the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me. But also the most frightening thing as I'm constantly praying for these little guys to stay healthy and safe.
I think we are on the mend and both Josh and Gavin haven't had any symptoms. So hopefully they will be free from this.
Another unlucky break for Trevor was the graduation in Taekwando Both boys were white belts and we able to try out for their orange. Trevor was pretty heart broken that he couldn't go. And I was pretty heart broken that I didn't get to go see Josh compete.
But Josh did it. He Loves Taekwando and is really good at it. He knocked me to the ground and it actually really hurt. He really gets into it I love it.
