When we moved here the one thing that we loved is the Fall-Winter-and Spring season. The weather is PERFECT. We loved eating out on our patio in Seattle the only problem was we couldn't do it very often. So what brought us to this neighborhood was the outdoor kitchen option the builders had. Only we feel in love with a house that didn't have one. And our patio was a waste. We couldn't even fit a table on it. So finally Ryan and I decided to break down and bite the bullet and build our out door kitchen. Seeing how our grill blew away 6 times and our kids fell on our slippery tile it was time to do something. We had a record heat wave this summer with no rain and wouldn't you know it the week we start construction it starts dumping. Ya that's our luck. So it's going to take alot longer then we had hoped and it's a lot Messier. But hopefully it will be so worth it.
The patio extended and rocked. And the ripping down of the old roof is complete. .
These guys were crazy they were up here while it was dumping on them only standing on a 2X4.
And while they were here rocking in the patio I had a idea. I've always HATED our fire place mantel. And they do these awesome rock walls here. So I talked them into rocking ours in. Note to anyone thinking of doing rock work after they move in. (it was a HUGE MESS) I've mopped the floor 7 times and the dust still isn't coming off. It's driving me crazy. But I can't wait until it's finished. It's already 1,000 times better.
Goodbye ugly mantel.
Hello GIANT mess.
AHH our beautiful new fireplace with a hearth. Now we just need to get the Mantel. I hope it's here tomorrow. So no more construction workers come in with their big muddy boots.
