The Easter bunny's dead

The last few years a cute little wild bunny has came in our back yard just before Easter.  It's been great because at Christmas we have the "lookout man" that brings you pj's to tell you Santa in on his way and you need to get to bed.  So I used this a little "look out bunny" checking in on you to see if you are good so the Real Easter bunny will leave you a basket.  Only this year it backfired when the boys woke up Friday morning something had gotten this little bunny and left it right in front our house DEAD!!!  The two younger boys were devastated.  Josh asked "what does this mean?"   They thought the Easter bunny was dead.  I hate it when my little ideas turn into a childhood therapy session for my kids.  Poor Bunny.
The cute bunny.

But the Real bunny did come and this year all the boys woke up together as Ryan and I heard screaming from them.  THE EASTER BUNNY CAME HE REALLY CAME.

Gavin was thrilled with Linus.  He's a huge fan and so glad it was the real Linus with a Red shirt.  The one he got for Christmas had a blue shirt and said made in China.  So he kept saying "I'm sorry Linus that the china people think you wear a blue shirt."

Checking out their goods.  Even Trevor got into it this year.  Thank goodness.  Last year he was so grumpy.

Oh and a toy peacock, he hasn't put it down since he got it.  He names bird.   He said why would you name a peacock any name other then bird when that's what it is.

I can't believe I didn't take one picture of us in our new Easter clothes. Or one of each boy.  I've done that for YEARS every since Trevor was born.  How could I have forgotten?  But they looked sure sharp like always.  I'm so lucky to have such handsome boys.

Gavin had his last pre-school egg hunt.  A little emotional for me as I realized this will be our last one to go to with our kids.  I've been going for 9 years now.  Mrs. Amy Gavin's teacher is amazing with these kids.  Such a fun day for them

12 eggs.  Gavin counted them multiple times to make sure.  I'm so grateful he's so Honest.  But he was bummed because most had jelly beans.  He's not a fan.  But Chocolate melts here so it's a rare treat in the spring and summer.
Getting ready for the hunt.

With all the business that we've had I forgot to blog about Josh's latest.  Poor kid got diagnosed with Asthma this year and his medication has made him gain some weight which he is so self conscious about and now he has to have Glasses.  I will say he does look super sharp in them. He was so glad he could finally see.  I felt terrible I had no clue.  He kept telling me he didn't know what the teacher wrote on the board but he never did say he couldn't see it.  And he has had lots of headaches so the school nurse (love love love PAM) told me to take him to a eye dr.  And low and behold he was so blind.  He's been really really good about keeping them on or in a case when he's not wearing them.  And hasn't complained once about anyone saying anything.  THANK GOODNESS!!!  It was a fun day picking them out and his little brother and older brother were a little bit jealous that they didn't get to have them too.  Hopefully it will stay that way.  Glasses are so expensive.
Man I love this kid.
