Well it's that time of year. The back to school Hoopla that we have to do. While it's fun and exciting it's also Exhausting!
Thursday we had the welcome walk. The teachers could come anywhere from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. We live right by the school so the teachers have always came by around 5ish. Not this year. We were last. Gavin's teacher came around 7ish. And then Poor Josh was in tears thinking his teacher forgot about him. I started to panic a little myself when it was past 8:00 then 8:30 and finally we heard the door. They were so apologetic for being so late. And sweetly said to Josh we just saved the best for last which made him feel so much better. Looks like the 4th grade is team teaching again this year and so the poor teachers had to go to 42 students houses. 42. No wonder they were so late. It looks like we are going to have a GREAT year.
Gavin got Josh's Kindergarten Teacher Mrs. Estes. She was Amazing with Josh and he still talks about how great she was 4 years later. I feel so much better about putting my baby in her hands. I know she is loving and cares about the kids and will help Gavin have a wonderful year. I'm beyond thrilled.

After our horrible year last year with Josh Ryan and I have been praying that he gets a great Teacher this year that will help him love school again. And while I don't know his teachers his home room teacher is new to the school Mrs. Brazle and I've only heard amazing things about Mrs. Strong. I have a great feeling that this year will be such a great year for him. He's excited to go back and we are so happy for that.

| We made the teachers a red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting and mini chocolate chips. And Trevor's football gear well some of it anyways :)... |
Then the next day he had to preform at the 6th grade assembly and I thought I could just pick up his stuff early. Which I got some but they were not ready for the school supplies yet so I had to come back for that. When I came back to pick Trevor up I was lucky enough to get them but they wouldn't give him his schedule until 1:30 so back again we went. 3 times. Sadly his schedule is messed up and we have to rearrange his classes. But they can't until the 2nd week of school so for my kid that gets stressed out easily this is going to be a challenge for him. But he'll get through it.
Then we were off to Gavin's class. We put his stuff away and showed him where things are. He's so scared of public bathrooms. Terrified. So I was so grateful that they have their own bathroom in his class room. He was also thrilled and had to show me 3 times. That kid is going to have a rude awakening being at school for 7 1/2 hrs 5 days a week. Oh man.
Then it was off to Joshua's class he was so nervous to have two teacher and couldn't quite understand how things worked. But felt so much better when he saw they were right next to each other.
That night Ryan finally came home after being gone forever and for a Friday night we all crashed at 9:30. I can't wait for school to just start already and get back into that routine. I sure hope my kids have a good year. This being a parent and worrying about your kids is not for the weak I tell ya.

Oh my gosh, Suze, I seriously am getting hives just thinking about future Texas football players in my family. Mike's all excited for Dylan and Blake to play one day. Ugh. Good luck to you with all that! Being a parent is soooo much harder than I ever thought it'd be. Harder, but so worth it, of course. If we can keep our sanity anyway. Best of luck for a fabulous year with your sweet boys!
