The big 12

This last year Trevor has grown so much.  One day he was wearing pants that fit and the next week they were floods.   He grew 4 shoe sizes.  I felt so bad because his church shoes he would complain that they hurt his feet but I just bought them and thought he needed to break them in.  Finally I took him in and he was wearing a size 6 church shoes and now he needed a  size 10.  OOPS.  Poor kid I made him cram his feet in there for 3 months.    He had such a great year in school this year.  And is growing up to to be a amazing young man.

He was ordained the priesthood this Sunday and it was such a heart warming experience. He's excited to pass the sacrament and now go to young men.  He's a young man I can't believe it (no more primary for him)  I can't believe we didn't take one picture. WHAT was I thinking?

He went on his 1st 6 day camp out (with out any parents) this year. And it was during the record breaking heat.  I knew he wouldn't shower but he informed me that he wore the same clothes the whole time, as did most of the boys.  Even though it was a swimming suit I still think it's disgusting.    Boys are so gross sometimes.   But he had a GREAT time and can't wait to go next year so that's all that matters.

He also went to a 4 day motorcycle camp.  His true love in life.  They road motorcycles all day long and he came home with a smile from ear to ear each day.  And on the last day was so excited to show his Dad and brothers all that he had learned.

We also sent him to Seattle for 15 days to spend some quality time with his Grandparents while I recover.  Diane and Fernando were flying out and were so kind to let Trevor fly with them and help out with the Babies.  He came home talking about how cute Evan and Lucy were. I think he grew attached to them as he has asked when we are going to Houston to see them again.
He had such a great time.  And luckily Grandpa said he was a great kid.  Grandma and him had  a little issue with his sassy pre-teen age ways.  But for the most part she spent most of her time hanging out with him and he was so grateful for that. And I think they developed a great relationship. They spoiled him and did lots of fun things.  The highlight of his trip was finally getting up on the wake board.  He wished he could stay longer so he could really get the hang of it. We are so lucky to have such great Grandparents in my kids life's.
Paddle boarding with Grandma. My favorite thing to do at the lake.
Wake boarding
Trevor's favorite thing to do besides drive the real boat and the sea doo.
This kid is just like his Dad and loves being the one behind the wheel.

Grandpa took his to his Garage plus car show and this was the car he wants when he's 16.
A beautiful day on the lake.
Celebrating his birthday with his  Grandparents and cousins.
He came back from Seattle just 2 days before his birthday and my Sister Jen was here to help. She made his a super yummy coconut cream cake and we went out to eat at BJ's.  Poor kid really wanted me to make his favorite Orange chicken but I just didn't have the strength to do it yet.  But he was really happy with his chicken wings and BBQ sauce.  He's so easy going I love that about him.

Birthday dinner at BJ's steak house.
We decided while he was away to paint his room.  He is the kid that when I ask him what he wants in his room he said "nothing" or I don't know.  The other two have a room with a personality Trevor's was just so plain. So when we were in a model home one time I remembered him liking the striped on a wall and wanted that in his room.  So that's what we did.   Hoping he would love it. And luckily he was so happy with that.  Not the best pictures.  I really need to learn how to use my phone.  We also on a wall mount some pictures of him at Motorcycle camp.

He wanted to have a party at the go-cart racing place but his friends at this age are so different in height that some would have to ride the jr. carts and some could ride the adult.  I think it would be to awkward for the poor boys that had to be told they have to ride the jr.  So we told him he could just invite one friend that was as tall as him and we would take them out to lunch and just spend the day racing.  Which worked out great.  This is such a fun place.

I felt so bad his birthday came around the time of my recovery so we didn't get to do all that we had planned but I hope we made his day just the same.  I sure love this kid.
